【2019/10/10】苗栗火炎山。Miaoli Hiking @ REN BLOG

• 山名【Name】：火炎山【HuoYan Shan】
• 簡介【 Intro.】：位於臺灣苗栗縣三義鄉、苑裡鎮交界，主峰海拔596公尺，北峰海拔614公尺，為臺灣小百岳之一。【On the border of SanYi and Yuanli town in Miaoli City. At an altitude of 596 and 614 meters. One of the hundred featured mountains of Taiwan. 】
• 難易度【Difficultiy】：★★★☆☆。大部分的路程為古道。充滿大大小小的石頭，建議穿登山鞋保護腳踝，很容易扭到。【Most of paths are full of stones; to protect your ankles, I strongly suggest wearing hiking boots.】
• 全程花費時間【Time Spent】：四小時四十分鐘【4 hrs 40 mins】。
• 飲水量【Water consumed】：2,500～3,000 c.c.
• 交通【Transportation】：這次是開車前往，國一在三義150公里出口下，之後右轉開到底會有指標顯示右邊往三義火車站，請往左轉靠最右側車道沿路開差不多五分鐘後會下高架橋。【By car: on freeway No. 1, take the Sanyi exit at the 150 km mark. Turn right and continue driving until you reach the dead-end, then turn left. Remain in the right lane for about five mins, until you reach the overpass. The sign for the entrance will be on your right side.】

這次全程花費時間差不多快五個小時（邊走邊休息又拍了很多照片）時間要衡量好，以及水量建議可以多帶一點，因為走了很長一段，不用怕很重，水會越喝越少減輕重量。【The whole trip will take approximately five hours, make sure you are aware of it. Bring more water than you usually consume because you will often encounter the steep hills.】

登山口一進去就是森林，大部分的陽光被樹蔭遮住，陣陣的涼風以及蝴蝶到處紛飛，每看到一隻蝴蝶丹妮都很興奮的叫我看🙋。剛開始走的路段上坡偏多，要控制好體力，因為路途稍微遙遠。【Most of the path is covered by trees so you will be in the shade with a fresh breeze for most of the hike, fantastic! There are many different kinds of butterflies in the forest to accompany you during the whole trip. Don't use too much energy at the beginning because it will be a long trip.】

⬆登山口會在右手邊，但是不是很大一個指標，要請副駕駛座的人幫忙看！

【The sign will on your right-hand side, but it's not very obvious. you will need to keep an eye out for it. 】

⬆在登山口旁邊有一個地圖，建議可以拍下來。沿路都會有里程碑，但有些不太顯眼。

【This map gives you the location, can take a photo to keep with you. There are some milestones on the way.】

⬆路上發現螳螂脫下來的殻，第一次看到真的很新奇！

⬆1.3K休息區這邊會有兩個岔路，一個往上另一個往左，往左走會看不同角度的峽谷。

【There is a road junction at the 1.3 kilometers point. The left path leads you to a lookout.】

⬆小峽谷後會到這個指標，此處就是和休息區直接往上走的路線匯集處。

⬆因為路不太好走，給自己做適當休息，一路上幾乎都長得像是這樣大大小小的石頭。

【The whole path is full of stones, as shown in the picture above, which is frustrating to walk on, so give your feet sufficient rest.】

⬆有兩條路給你選，本來是想走挑戰路線，但是丹妮很果斷地說要走輕鬆😂，後來發現差不多五分鐘後就匯集了。

【Here are two paths: a normal path (lower) and a challenging path (upper). 
 I was going to pick the hard one, but my girlfriend chose the normal path without hesitation.】

⬆丹妮的腳長走得超級快，停下來幾次等我父母

（從他們身上看到歲月不饒人💧），然後我們就玩起了拍照。

【My girlfriend walks so fast with her long legs compared to my poor old parents.】

⬆這個景觀台給我種豁然開朗的感覺，因為沿路上除了樹還是樹😅，但是太陽很大，所以也沒有久待。

【It is a wide platform without any trees so you can clearly see Miaoli city.】

⬆第一次看到心型的石頭，發現不少新奇的東西。

【A heart-shaped stone.】

⬆又是一直無止盡的路，下坡真的不太好走😤。

【The downhill is steep and also not easy to walk on.】

⬆看到這些石頭心中莫名的有快感，可能是排列的很整齊。

【I felt so satisfied by how these stones are arranged.】

⬆為了要拍一家全家福，在2.4K景觀台等人經過等了一陣子😅。

【It is hard to get the family picture because we couldn't really meet anyone to take the picture for us. 】

⬆走到這邊會看到不少山友帶瓦斯爐過來煮茶煮東西吃。

有兩條路可以選擇：

1. 不經過三角點，直接往停車場（約1小時）

2. 往三角點的方向，再繞下去停車場（約1.5小時）

因為我上次去過三角點覺得還好，又多走了很長一段所以這次就跳過了😅。

【Here is the biggest destination where a lot of people bring their own pot to make tea, coffee, and food.

There are two different paths : 

1. Skip the lookout, it will take an hour to the parking lot.

2. Path to the lookout, it will take one and a half hours.】

⬆可能是雙十國慶，有人帶國旗來插。

⬆一直趕路，因為沿途景色都一樣，所以想趕快回家洗澡！

⬆和三角點的匯合處，沿路都有指示停車場怎麼走，很方便！

⬆看到產業道路代表快到了，再走個二十分鐘就到停車場了。

⬆看到這棟房子代表已經接近停車場了，上面都是一些東西方古文。

⬆整趟走下來腳不知道被石頭扭到了幾次，鞋底整個開掉😱。

⬆附近有免費提供山泉水的加水站，切記要煮沸之後才可以飲用，水喝起來真的很甜。

【There is a free water station to the public, make sure to boil it before consuming.】

• 後記：二度造訪這座山，這次是和家人女朋友一起前往，途中多了許多的樂趣。因為路程偏中，可以和親朋好友一起爬山享受親近大自然的過程。樹蔭遮蔽處很多偶爾有涼風，不用怕會太熱，但還是要注意好防曬丶蚊蟲叮咬以及飲水攝取量。【It is my second time here so I basically already knew how the trip would be. Drink enough water, put on sunscreen, and bring insect medicine and repellent. Hope you enjoy the whole trip!】
